CONSULTING & CERTIFICATION PROCESS
Our systems comply with Standards without all the usual jargon.
Procedures are for workers, not just auditors.
Certification to Standards
The following program applies where certification is required to Quality, Safety, Environment and Information Security Standards; or to specific industry Codes of Practice or Legislation.
Typical Consulting and Certification program -
- Meet with key staff to understand your operations
- Review current business processes and existing documentation and records
- Conduct a gap analysis against the relevant Standard
- Prepare new written procedures and forms where appropriate
- Provide a simple, plain English style of documentation
- Review drafts, discuss use of forms, agree changes & amendments
- Ensure the system complies with the relevant Standard
- Install your electronic SiteMap on your server
- Provide your Operations Manual in attractive hard copy binders
- Provide an Action Checklist to guide implementation
- Conduct internal audit and SiteMap training
- Continuous off site support & guidance
- Ensure that your manual has captured your key processes and is useful for training new staff
- Ensure that staff are sufficiently prepared to successfully undergo an external audit to the relevant standard.
Benefits of Certification -
- Certification status allows you to tender for work where it is a prerequisite.
- Certification has wide marketplace recognition, and can give you "preferred supplier" status and a competitive advantage.
The External Audit Body -
- The 3rd party external audit is done by a JASANZ accredited body, which is responsible for issuing System Certification.
- The external auditor:
- examines your management procedures and records
- assesses compliance to the Standard/s and regulatory requirements
- checks that your system is fully in use and is appropriate to your needs
- provides a written report, identifying observations and improvements
- if satisfied, recommends your business for Certification
- prepares a Scope of Registration (the certificate capability statement).
- External audits are typically carried out 6 monthly for the first year, then annually thereafter depending on the size of your system, the inherent risks in your business, and how well you comply
- Major triennial audits are performed every 3 years.
