ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS

Environmental tools that explain the legislation, are easy to use, and reduce impacts.

Legal Obligations

Businesses are obliged to comply with legislation concerned with the production, minimisation and disposal of waste and hazardous substances; prevention of pollution and industrial noise; and efficient use of resources, water and energy.

Relevant legislation and legal requirements include the Environmental Protection Act, Local Government requirements, business licences, and contractual obligations with other parties.

Legislation requires that we identify workplace aspects that impact on the environment, assess the impact, develop and implement controls, train and involve staff, monitor the environmental program and update controls where workplace aspects change. Records of environmental program maintenance are required.
